Winnipegs newest Hip-Hop Station

If you havent been paying attention you may have missed it. Lost at the back end of the radio spectrum is a little station playing some solid Rap.

Nestled close to its Big Brother/Sister station 105.5 FM; 104.7 Streetz has been playin continuous music as they fine tune there playlists and get there young DJ's ready for prime time.

It has been almost 2 years since Winnipeg last had a rap radio station, 107 "Flava" was considered a "radio school" but run on to hard financial times. Where is Franky now :P

Anyways this new station sounds good, even though they dont have any DJ's working yet and considering that its backed by NCI-FM has the financial backing to go the distance.

Now for the weird part. The DJ's

92.1 = Old Men

92.9 = College Students

94.3 = Cougars

97.5 = Mid/Late 20's

101.1 = Brutal University Students

103 = Teeny Boppers and Club music for

104 = Cowboys

104.7 = Mid 20's Aboriginal

105.5 = Cowboys

107 = No idea .... christian rock ?!?

Woah thats right 104.7 is aboriginal in nature :). Blacks need not apply.

Quoted from there own site

As close minded as this post now seems, not to worry I'm not judging. But could a White guy get some representation.This is Winnipeg, lots of other minorities like hiphop....look at the filipino's! Anyways the music is good and hopefully the DJ's are talented.

FYI Jules, Jesica, and Sadie are hot :P
