Adamson Roofing Winnipegs Roofing Professionals!
Written by John Bain
As a Winnipeg home owner I understand how important my roof is (go figure) and last fall 2009 hail damage had obliterated it. Fuck you Mother Nature!

That isn’t my roof but I heard it was this bad :)
Anyways I called a couple companies in Winnipeg, got some quotes but decided to go with Adamson Roofing
. These guys:
- FREE ESTIMATE
- Had the best price
- Sold the best product
- Answered all my questions
- Were the most reasonable
- Were the most professional; felt like I was buying a Mercedes!
Anyways I really liked the cut of their jib, these guys were smart.
Without going into a ton of details, when they actually did my roof they:
- Showed up when they said they would
- Where very clean ... I always notice other houses look like shit while they are getting their roofs done
- Were cautious around my front lawn and flowerbed
- Worked efficiently/quickly
- They even helped my wife unload groceries from the van... WOW
- Completed the job ahead of time
I would recommend these guys to any of my neighbors and the main reason I am blogging this ...these guys deserve the business
Anyays I nabbed this from there website

Phat RIde Customs Life Chapter Closing, Ottawa Chapter Opening
Last Updated on Saturday, 10 April 2010 01:19 Written by John Bain Saturday, 10 April 2010 00:48
Wow that’s a long title and now that I think about it carry's alot of emotion and thought in those words. I will be quitting Phat Ride Customs that place that I have worked at for the last 5ish year in many different forms, roles and responsibilities. I will thank Dan in person when I actually leave but for now I will thank him here; Thanks Dan. This chapter in my life is almost over.

So what next for Bainer? Well I will be graduating at the end of April and moving to O-Town, that’s my name for Ottawa ... Kind of sounds sexual, it may not stick. Anyways I won a competition for a CS-1 with the Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC). This is the dream job I really wanted, it didn’t need to be in Ottawa it could have been anywhere but I really wanted out of Winnipeg. For those wondering I will be dragging Janice with me for good or for worse(more good then worse ? ). Stay tuned for more pictures of us looking for places to live. Also because my probationary period for this position is a year we will have to stay in an apartment for a year.

That graph came from the RRC website for average earned income of newly graduate students
.(Information System Technology - Network MAnagement) I dont want to say how much I actually make but the graph should help, there i got the bragging out of my system

Ghost wreak havoc at Winnipeg Code Camp 2010
Last Updated on Sunday, 28 February 2010 02:18 Written by John Bain Sunday, 28 February 2010 01:29
First allow me to say that I really enjoyed Winnipeg Code Camp 2010, this was my second year attending. The events were welled planned out, prizes were awesome(even though i didnt win one) and I got to fill myself with free coffee, cressants, pizza and apple juice at Winnipeg Code Camp 2010. I met some great people as well. I had the opportunity to meet the gentlemen from Anvil Digital and also a DB admin for Protegra, all very smart people with excellent presentations.
Now lets get down to the serious business. After closely inspecting D'Arcy blog where he had posted during the actual event (Winnipeg Code Camp 2010), images of different sessions I noticed strange white blips on the digital photographs. Now one thing I do have to assume is in no way did D'arcy or myself use any photo manipulation to alter these images other then highlighting the affected area's.
Hold on to your pants this shit gets freaky
During our lunch period, notice myself in the far corner un aware of the "white energy orbs"

Presenter smiles at camera unsuspectingly while energy orbs suround him

Now in an effort to maintain a professional level I did alittle bit of research on what the orbs may be and the history od the building. Prepare to be fascinated, Using my favorite search eangine www.askjeeves.com
, I asked AJ "what are these white orbs on my photographs". Check this out
"...That orbs are paranormal in nature, i.e. non-naturalistic and ghost like. Some people claim that paranormal orbs are more likely to appear in certain locales, or are attracted to human activities, especially those involving children. The images on the Internet forums devoted to orbs are taken in graveyards, backyards, attics, and kitchens, living rooms, as well as bars, convention centers, and city streets – in short, anywhere people may be taking photos..."
So now this got me thinking what did the Princess Street campus use to be before Red River College owned it.
Taken from the Doors Open Winnipeg website
"Red River College’s Princess Street Campus is one of Canada’s most energy efficient buildings; it opened in three phases between 2002-2004. This $35 million development restored the Exchange District’s oldest intact streetscape, which dates back to 1882,"
Thats right this building is over 128 years old! I have sent a letter to the city of Winnipeg Historical Building department tyo get the full history of these building so please stay tuned. We might just open this mother up :)

To view speakers notes you must veiw in fullscreen mode, then click the actions button on the bottom left
Vision:
To develop a Web 2.0 application for the Winnipeg 311 system that will allow a user to issue “tickets” from the convenience of their web browser. The system will use a graphical map to aid in the process of identifying and locating municipal issues. The system will also include an administrative application back-end.
Project Opportunities:
The Broken ‘Peg will be an excellent addition to the current Winnipeg 311 service. The system will allow the efficient submission and location of various non-emergency problems observed by the public. The data obtained will aid in quickly assigning priority levels to ensure urgent problems are handled promptly. Information regarding outstanding and completed projects will be displayed on the homepage to encourage government transparency and increase public confidence.
Phases:
The Broken ‘Peg is designed to be deliverable in several phases. Each phase will add enhanced functionality by adding new elements and modifying existing content. Delivering the project in this fashion will allow the production of several working releases. These releases can help identify potential issues in the early stages of development and allow the client to easily monitor progress.
